Parma vs Udinese at Ennio Tardini

sport live serie aUdinese owner Giampaolo Pozzo believes his team will make a big mistake to take strugglers Parma lightly when the two sides meet at the Ennio Tardini stadium on Sunday.

The Friuli outfit head into the encounter in Parma at the top of the Serie A standings, nine points clear of Sunday's rivals.

Francesco Guidolin's side are level on 21 points with second-placed Lazio and have the best defensive record in the competition with just four goals conceded.

However, Pozzo knows his team are in for a battle this weekend.

"It's going to a tough match," he said.

"We cannot forget that we gave away six points to Parma last season.

"Parma is a strong team and we will have to be focused from start to finish in order to bring home three points.

"We, of course, want to maintain our current position in the standings but we know it's going to be difficult with the likes of Lazio, Milan and Juventus right behind us."

Udinese have not won at the Tardini stadium in five years and Parma midfielder Massimo Gobbi hopes that run continues.

"We've been thinking a lot about this game," he said. "We are very focused.

"Udinese deserve to be at the top of the table and we will have to work hard to limit them, which will be no easy task.

"We want to return to winning ways as soon as possible and we will give everything to do so on Sunday."

Parma will have to keep a close eye on Udinese forward Antonio Di Natale.

Di Natale, who is Serie A's top scorer with eight goals so far, will lead Udinese's attack.

Parma have striker Sebastian Giovinco back after he suffered a thigh injury in his team's 1-0 defeat at Lazio last time out.

That result was Parma's third defeat in four games and dropped Franco Colomba's side to 15th place.
